Scoot Parks are suitable for all ages and equipment sizes, from toddlers on Balance bikes, kids on scooters, teens on BMX & skateboards to adults on mountain bikes.
All wheel sizes and ability levels are accommodated for due to the small obstacle sizes, smooth transitions and consistent surface material. Speeds are controlled by the design, and the emphasis is on the skill of pumping to maintain momentum rather than maximum speed.
As specialist Scoot Park Builders we are able to design and build scoot parks exactly to your requirements
The minimum size of a standard scoot park is 27m x 13m, or 88’ x 42’. Depending on the number of expected users and budget, we can customise the design to suit. There is no real limit to the size of the park, as more rider lines and options can be added to create a better facility the more space our designer has to utilise. We require access around the Park during the construction process for machinery and site operations; contact us for more information or assistance in choosing a site for your project.

Turf and topsoil is removed from the site to provide a stable base before a compacted hardcore base, MOT type 1 road stone to create the detailed features and smooth asphalt finish is applied. The careful application of the asphalt by our experienced builders (who are also riders) ensures the high quality finish is suitable for all wheel sizes, big or small.

All Scoot Parks are designed and installed to meet or exceed ROSPA requirements. A ROSPA post installation inspection can also be carried out upon build completion if required for insurance purposes. Operation and maintenance guides, signage, fencing and any future maintenance to the site or surrounds can also be completed, which help to ensure the safe and continued use of the site into the future.
This document, much like an operations and maintenance guide for a new building, is the go to document for information on the Scoot Park and the extended facility.
It provides a record of information on the Scoot Parks design, construction and maintenance to ensure the assets longevity and utilisation. Often, if staff within an education board or local authority move on, the knowledge of the assets role and purpose can be lost, creating a situation where the asset is underutilised or misunderstood. Preventing the loss of a valuable community asset with monetary value and ensuring its longevity is essential, and the operations and maintenance guide provides the required information to ensure this. This package of information also includes as built drawings in PDF and CAD formats for record use.
We can design and install site signage that provides safety and contact information, user conditions and a site plan detailing the Scoot Park layout and how it should be used. These signs can be customised to suit local authority branding and include logo’s or sponsor/grant information. They comply to ROSPA requirements, and create a go to point of information for new and old users alike.
Due to the high specification build there will be no definite timeframe; the asphalt will last for decades. A Scoot Park is self draining through design to expel water helping to reduce possible weather damage. Asphalt is very resistant to damage from anti social behaviour, creating a community asset that is both durable and cost effective.
We can discuss with you local planning authority and confirm either way. We can then put together the planning application and correspondence required throughout. With over 15 years experience in the industry, we are well accustomed to liaising with the community, authorities of all scales and other consultants to provide the highest quality product in the most cost effective way. Besides our experience with planning applications, our experience has shown that planning authorities are generally very happy to talk to Scoot Park Builders as we create community resources
Due to the nature of the construction and the designed use, Zero maintenance is required to the as built Scoot Park. Including the sweeping of the track in regular landscape maintenance is preferential and the clearing of leaves in autumn would also be preferential, but not essential. By keeping it clear from debris and detritus it will last for years and years to come, as well as improving the safety of users. Ensuring any paint markings are refreshed long term (10 years) and the signage is undamaged are also things to note.
All grassed side slopes to the area will be designed to suit ride on mower access making upkeep of the surrounding area as straightforward as possible for the local team.
